Welcome to the page where I get to tell you about myself! I hope you find this page interesting as well as a way to discover how my life influences my authorship.

Life has changed me in many ways. My husband and I have been married since 1999, and we have three children that I homeschooled for seven years. We have two daughters, one born in 2000 that is now married, and the other born in 2004. We moved from Indiana to Tennessee in 2015, slightly north of the Music City, Nashville.

Likely the biggest change in my life, however, came in 2013 when I was officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). It came as a complete surprise as it usually does, and it has caused absolute chaos at times for me and my family. It has affected my vision, my balance, and my heat sensitivity. I am unable to stand for very long, and my sleep has become vastly more important to me due to the most common symptom of MS: potentially debilitating fatigue.

MS has been nefarious in stealing things from me, but I have refused to let it stop me. I have had to reevaluate what was most precious to me and focus on those things. My faith, family and beloved stories have held me when things got especially difficult, and they have pushed me further than I thought I could go.

Writing has been a lifelong love of mine. I started when I was in 7th grade, beginning with a poetry notebook and stories for my English class. It progressed in 8th grade to writing pieces of a novel with my friend. Throughout high school, I wrote poetry and stories and essays. I didn’t finish college, but it was another incubator for ideas and sharpening my skills.

Getting married and having children shifted the way I spun tales a bit as my husband and I began playing RPGs together. In 2009, I started writing poetry again to express my faith and to try to encourage other Christians around me. I crafted my first novel in 2014 as a gift for our kids, and once they started attending public school after we moved, I used the free time I found myself with to produce a set of two more.

So there is a bit about me. I hope you are enjoying the site and that this gave you a little insight into who I am and why I do this. Be sure to check out everything that’s available here and the books you can get on Amazon!
